HIPERBARIC SHOWCASES HIP TECHNOLOGY AT FORMNEXT 2025 TO ENHANCE ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING QUALITY

22 October, 2025

Hiperbaric, a global leader in high-pressure industrial equipment, will present its Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) systems at Formnext 2025, highlighting their role in improving the quality and mechanical performance of metal parts produced via additive manufacturing (AM).

HIP technology involves subjecting metal and ceramic components to pressures of up to 2,000 bar and temperatures of up to 2,000 ºC, effectively eliminating internal porosity and achieving 100% material density. This post-processing method is crucial for meeting the reliability and performance requirements of demanding industries such as aerospace, medical implants, automotive, and energy.

At the Frankfurt-based trade fair, Hiperbaric will demonstrate how its compact and energy-efficient HIP systems enhance fatigue life, ductility, and overall mechanical performance of AM components.

In a recent milestone, the company delivered its first HIP system to Taiwan, reinforcing its international expansion. The HIP 93 model, one of the largest in its portfolio, will be installed by the end of the year at Plus Metal, a Taiwanese manufacturer serving the aerospace sector. This delivery underscores Hiperbaric's position as the only Spanish manufacturer of HIP equipment.
