ADDIMAT SUCCESSFULLY ORGANISES ITS FIRST INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY

Coinciding with the IMTS Fair that was held in Chicago from the 12th to the 17th of September, ADDIMAT organised visits to companies located in the Chicago and Minneapolis areas.

During that week, from the 12th to the 17th of  September, a study mission to the US was carried out, with the participation of six people from five organisations of the sector, ONA ELECTROEROSION, IBARMIA, TECNALIA, AIJO and ADDIMAT. 
The aim of the mission was to get to know how advanced additive manufacturing technologies are in the US, which is where some of the world leaders of the sector are located.

During the IMTS Fair, the most relevant biennial industrial fair in the country, where, for the first time, there was a specific exhibition of additive manufacturing technologies, in addition to the two days of conferences, the members of the mission visited the following companies: Stratasys, world leaders in the manufacture of additive manufacturing equipment, Sciaky,  manufacturers of metal additive manufacturing equipment, specialised in “Electron Beam Welding” technology, Met-L-Flo, a company that offers 3D printing services, and Impossible Objects, manufacturers of equipment for manufacturing, based on 3D printing of carbon fibre parts. 
New solutions, highly oriented to productivity, were observed during the mission, as well as new technologies both in the metal and plastic fields.
