TEKNIKER is a private non-profit technology centre. TEKNIKER’s mission is to increase the innovation of the industrial sector to improve its competitiveness. Its activity is mainly focused on mecatronics, manufacturing technologies and microtechnologies, with R&D areas in the design of industrial and consumer products, advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0 implementation in manufacturing plants.
TEKNIKER has a wide experience in the development of metal additive manufacturing processes by direct energy deposition with rates above 4kg/hour. In parallel, TEKNIKER develops components (head, mounts, etc.) and complete systems based on this technology. In this context, it is important to mention TITAN, a new machine for the manufacturing of large metallic structures (1.90 x 0.90 x 0.75 m) for aeronautical sector by means of wire laser metal deposition.
