CIDETEC is a private applied research organization specialized in wet surface processing and coatings using chemical and electrochemical technologies, providing solutions aimed at sectors such as automotive, aerospace and extreme conditions, among others.
CIDETEC developments in the additive manufacturing value chain focus on the application of post-processing technologies (chemical and electrochemical polishing, mechanical finishes, application of coatings and laser treatments), independently or in combination, to improve surface quality, provide functionality (resistance to corrosion, antistatic, osseointegration, etc.) and eliminate metallic and polymeric supports produced by additive manufacturing. To carry out their activity, they have facilities measuring 4,000 m2 and equipped with advanced technologies, covering from basic research, through the adaptation of processes and obtaining pre-series, to testing in almost real conditions. CIDETEC can also design ad-hoc out-of-bath processes for the treatment of different geometries and materials without the need of immersing the part in tanks, and thus reducing the electrolyte volume.
